Venus Mars Conjunction, 01-07-2023

Venus Mars Conjunction, 01-07-2023

On July 1, 2023, stargazers in Bengaluru, India, were in for a treat as two planets, Venus and Mars, were visible in the western sky just after sunset. At around 7:35 p.m, I saw the two planets, although the night sky was very cloudy.

The conjunction of Venus and Mars remained visible for about two hours after sunset. This planetary meeting was quite apparent in the night sky despite a nearly-Full Moon. Venus was incredibly bright. In addition, the Moon conducted its lunar business in another part of the sky. The planetary congregation was 3°33′ apart in the Leo constellation on this evening.

This event kicked off a month of mesmerizing celestial events including a super-bright Venus, the peaking of three back-to-back meteor showers, and more. It’s always exciting to witness such rare astronomical events and capture them through photography.

Please take a moment and see the photos and star charts. Thank You 

Triple Conjunction- Moon, Mars and Venus on 22-06-2023

On June 22nd 2023, between 7:20 PM and 7:45 PM, I had the opportunity to witness a rare celestial event as the Moon, Mars and Venus aligned in the night sky over Bengaluru, India.

This event appeared as a triple conjunction with the two planets and moon so close to each other in the sky. In reality, these planets are separated by millions of kilometers in the vastness of space.

I was able to capture some beautiful photographs of this spectacular sight even though it was cloudy. Hope you will like them as much as I was thrilled to see the event. Compare the photos with the Star chart from Sky Safari above to relate to the position of the objects.
